Continuing discussion of the C.A.L.M. act and devices to control the loudness of television commercials.
B. Morgan Martin studied Psychoacoustics and Engineering at UT Austin, mixed “Austin City Limits” years 1 & 2, and has developed a number of products for pro audio (VR & Capricorn Consoles, Flying Faders, SoundDroid, BAM!, etc.). Morgan partnered with Arnie Toshner to form GMA in 1989; they are working with Junger Audio of Germany on Loudness Control devices for TV, Radio, and Post Production.
This is the 35th anniversary of the founding of SBE Chapter 40, and in celebration, we (the chapter, that is) are providing the lunch for all our guests.
Sinbad’ Restaurant at Pier 2 in the City is the meeting place. Wednesday the 29th of September is the date and the times are 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. No-Host bar starts at 11:30, and we sit down to lunch between 12:00 and 12:30.
If you have already RSVP’d, it’s not necessary to do it again. If not, please call Paul Black at 925-522-9342 before 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 28th. Given the subsidized victuals, we expect a turnout of considerable proportions.
